MP3: Vinyl Radio - Fancy With A Pistol EP

Yesterday my wonderful postman delivered me the new EP from San Diego's Vinyl Radio. Not only do the band have a rather great name, they've also got a rather nice sound, mixing some propulsive, garagey MC5ish elements with some piano based Rolling Stones-alike tomfoolery. The band describe/categorise themselves no myspace as 'Pub Rock', but i'd say thats a little unfair; they've definitely got some rather retro influences, but there seems to be a lot of potential in their sound, and so Pub Rock (not the kindest term you can give a band, in the UK at least) is a little too modest. The EP, which is out on Red Tangle records, is called Fancy With a Pistol is a five tracker, and i've put up a couple of tracks from it below for you to check out.
