Peel Session: Hot Snakes (2004)

As anyone who was a fan will tell you, Rocket From The Crypt and Drive Like Jehu frontman John Reis, aka Speedo, has been one of the best frontmen in rock for the last few decades. His post Rocket band, Hot Snakes, were another fantastic blend of rock and roll and post-punk cleverness, and produced four really great records from 2000 to 2005. As he has recently announced his plans to return with a new band named (shockingly) Speedo, and featuring two members of...Hot Snakes, I thought it would be a good idea to post this Peel session, which is also notable for apparently being the very last session ever to be recorded for Peel.
