Records Out Tomorrow (Monday 3rd October)

Okay some great stuff out tomorrow. First of all we've got a new Fall album, which i've got on pre-order on lovely black vinyl, and i've heard is meant to be pretty great. That's your essential purchase for the week. Also out is the much anticipated but really just pretty good second album from Franz Ferdinand, plus new stuff from Ladytron, BB King, Richard Thompson and John Cale.

Lots of good reissues this week, first of all a deluxe edition of Souixsie & The Banshees debut album The Scream, which is a must have. Also well worth checking out is a double disc compilation of Ennio Morricone on Ipecac, and as anything on Ipecac is usually amazing, it's also a must buy. There's a pretty redundant Leftfield Greatest Hits, a rather good looking John Lydon collection (most of which you should already own!), a best of from The Beta Band, and yet another John Lennon compilation. Is there anyone out there who doesn't own at least two Lennon comps already? Obviously not. New Order also have a singles compilation out, which will probably be 23.4% good. Be warned.

Live albums from the reformed Blondie and Cream are also released, as well as a rather interesting looking tribute album to Tim and Jeff Buckley, featuring Micah P. Hinson, Sufjan Stevens, The Earlies, and a bunch of less good people. Rounding up this week are new singles from Black Dice and Bloc Party, but you might as well not bother with the Bloc Party one, as you know you're gonna buy that Silent Alarm re-issue in a few weeks anyway.
