New Records for January 30th - February 5th

Very quiet this week, with only the rather good new albums by Campbell & Lanegan and The Crimea (formerly The Crocketts if you don't know by now) standing out as worthy of interest. Lots of good re-releases though, with three Johnny Cash compilations coming out due to the release of Walk The Line in the UK. Some lovely King Crimson remasters are also definitely worth checking out, Beat in particular being pretty amazing. Scott Walker's rather obscure Climate Of Hunter gets a reissue, maybe to tie in to the fact that this year will finally see a new Scott album. I'm wet at the mere thought. Also out are singles from Mogwai (woo!), Go Team (mini-meh) and Beth Orton (meh). But this weeks number one buy is of course Devo - Live 1980. You'd be a fool not to.
