New Records for 13th - 19th March
Bit of a quieter week than last time, though there are interestng new albums from Broken Family Band, Graham Coxon, Beth Orton, Kris Kristofferson and an apparent return to form for Placebo (if you believe the press). The debuts from Jeniferever (on the lovely Drowned In Sound Records) and Two Gallants are both meant to be rather good, but to be honest i've yet to hear them. Reissues wise there are some more nice Fall reissues that are essential buys plus a reaaaaaaaaally great double CD compilation of Jarvis Cocker's favourite songs which is really rather good listening. Singles wise the only semi-interesting thing out is the newie from Be Your Own Pet, but on DVD there is the rather nice Tori Amos videos compilation and a very good Bowie live DVD from the Let's Dance tour. Eighties.
