Video: Magazine - Definitive Gaze & Give Me Everything (Old Grey Whistle Test 1978)

Don't worry folks, I will get back to mp3 posting soon. I've had less time the last few days and so it's slightly quicker to stick up videos on rapidshare. Tonight we've something from probably the best and first of the Brit post-punk bands, Howard Devoto's legendary Magazine. The performance is from the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1978, and features two songs from their amazing debut Real Life. The quality isn't that great (I think someone just took it straight off an old VHS) but the performance is fantastic. Magazine obviously influenced bands like Radiohead and Mansun a whole lot, even writing a few really great bsides in collaboration with Mansun. Most of the Magazine albums are really great, or if not are at least really interesting and worth listening to.
