MP3: Miss Black America - Peel Sessions 2001 & 2002

Again, not a lot of time to talk, so let's get down to the nitty gritty (where that phrase comes from i've no idea). Miss Black America come from Suffolk, have released two rather good LPs, and are very much underrated and underappreciated by both the British press and the British music buying public and underground. Rolling Stone's Michael Krugman and Jason Cohen voted their debut album God Bless? Album of the Year 2002, and John Peel was a huge fan, leading to five appearances on the Festive Fifty from 2001-2002.

The band recorded two sessions for John. The first was recorded on the 27th June 2001 and features four songs that would appear on the bands 2002 debut. The second session was recorded on the 29th May 2002 and broadcast on the 3rd July. Hope you like them!

2001 Session:

Miss Black America - 01 Miss Black America (Peel session)
Miss Black America - 02 Personal Politics (Peel session)
Miss Black America - 03 Road Kill (Peel session)
Miss Black America - 04 Talk Hard (Peel session)

2002 Session:

Miss Black America - 01 Liquid Silk (Peel session)
Miss Black America - 02 Smile, You're On Fire (Peel session)
Miss Black America - 03 Carcrash For The Soul (Peel session)
Miss Black America - 04 The White Noise Inc. (Peel session)
