MP3: Thunderball - Cinescope (with Afrika!)

This coming October sees the release of Cinescope, which is as far as I know the third full length from Washington, DC's Thunderball. Drawing together influences from dub, 60s and 70s cinema soundtracks, funk and Brazilian music, it's a pretty great album, notable for including some great contributions from the always incredible Afrika Bambatataa, as well as Roots and Zeebo, vocalists from the dub group See-I. The record will be released by Washington's own ESL records (who also bought out the excellent Ocote Soul Sounds album that I featured a few months back) very soon, so if you like the songs, make sure you check out their website where you can buy it digitally or find out more info on a physical release.
