MP3: ballboy - Peel Sessions 2000 and 2003

Oooh i've got a treat for you lot today. Finally tracked down the cd that i'd burned these sessions onto and couldn't wait to put them online.

ballboy are a four piece who formed in Edinburgh in about 1996, but didn't end up releasing anything substantial until around 1999, when a series of EPs were released on SL Records. These were later compiled on 2001's Club Anthems 2001. Their debut album proper, A Guide For The Daylight Hours would appear in 2002, by which time the band had built a large following amongst listeners of John Peel, who was a big fan of the band. Other records followed in 2003 (The Sash My Father Wore and Other Stories ) and 2004 (The Royal Theatre). The band are currently preparing to play some christmas shows, and are rehearsing in preparation of their fifth record. You can get more info on the band, as well as tour dates and more mp3s at their official website.

The band recorded four sessions for Peel, two of which are below. Hope you like them.
