Peel Session: Pretty Girls Make Graves (2003)

Pretty Girls Make Graves formed in Seattle in 2001 from the members of a number of other bands; The Hookers, Area 51 and Murder City Devils. Their first record, Good Health, came out on Lookout in 2002, and soon after the band signed to Matador and released the highly acclaimed followup, The New Romance. After a bit of a hiatus, their third record, this year's Elan Vital has finally been released, and is highly recommended (though not by Pitchfork) despite not being quite as great as its predecessor.

This was their only Peel Session, and was recorded on the 7th August 2003. Hope you like it.

Pretty Girls Make Graves - 01 More Sweet Soul (Peel session)
Pretty Girls Make Graves - 02 The Grandmother Wolf (Peel session)
Pretty Girls Make Graves - 03 The Teeth Collector (Peel session)
Pretty Girls Make Graves - 04 This Is Our Emergency (Peel session)
