Peel Session: Magoo (2003)
Happy Choco Day. I am devouring a Kinder chocolate rabbit. OMG. I thought i'd give you the lovely Jesusy gift of another session from the wonderful Magoo. This one was recorded on the 26th June 2003, and Matthew And Son is obviously a Cat Stevens cover, and a nice one too. Have a good day folks, and as ever, enjoy!
You can get a whole lot more info on Magoo at their official site.

Glad to see you feature the mighty Magoo at last. I was actually at the first of the two sessions you've featured (and took the imperfect photo you've used using an ailing polaroid) and fondly remember it - although the engineers were less fondly remembered (they were not wildly helpful, took their breaks rather too keenly and made a fuss over whether we'd cleared the sample (we said we had but of course we hadn't)). You should try and track the other sessions down as as well as the "Joe 90 Theme" and Cat Steven's cover they've done versions of Country Fish & The Joe's "Love For No Reason", Fat's Domino "Valley Of Tears" and The Turtle's "Happy Together" - shame Strange Fruit (or whomever releases the Peel Session tracks now adasy) haven't released a compilation of their best tracks although as you alluded to in your piece they do continue to be one of the most criminally underrated British bands. Their version of Captain Beefheart's "Big Eyed Beans From Venus" is also quite wonderful . . . mail me your postal address and I'll send you a copy of it on 7".
Love and stuff and keep up the good work.

I like the song "Micronaut", but there's something missing.
oh dear, that's two i've missed!
again, i'd be eternally appreciative if you could stick both magoo session up briefly.
i was in a band with andrew until recently, and i'm not sure if he even has a good quality copy of the peel sessions. i'm sure he'll be pleased to know there's still some interest.
